Pessimism does not grow a business! Studies have shown, for years, that optimists are more successful in both life and business.
Unfortunately, developing and maintaining a positive outlook, has never been an automatic trait in human beings. You have to work at it, just like any muscle you want to develop.
To cultivate a winning mind-set, here are some tips:
Attitude control – attitude doesn’t emerge from what happens to you, but instead from how you decide to interpret what happens to you. Receiving an unexpected gift in the form of a clapped-out old car can have one person say, “What! It’s a pile of old junk”, while another might say, “It’s cheap transportation, great, just what I need right now” ….and a third might even say, “Blimey, it’s a classic – could be worth a fortune!” In each case, the person is choosing their decision (whether they realise this to be a choice or not) on how to interpret the event and this, then, controls how they feel about it.
Positive thought library – instead of watching the news, spend 15 minutes every day reading, viewing or listening to something inspirational. When you do this regularly, you are absorbing and re-wiring your thoughts and feelings. So, if and when things don’t go according to plan, there is now quick and easy access to this huge reserve, helping you cope far better when things do go awry.
Speak it into existence – abracadabra means, “I create what I speak”, so be very careful, what you wish for as we head towards Halloween! The words that come out of your mouth are not just a reflection of what’s going on in your mind – they are actually programming your brain on how to think. Therefore, if you want a positive attitude, your vocabulary must be consistently positive. If you want a photographic memory, keep saying “my memory improves every time I use it”. If you want to recall the name of everyone at a party, keep saying, “I always remember everyone’s name”. In the same way (I hope) you have always said to yourself, “I am an honest person and people can trust me”, you get what you think about all day long! So, stop using phrases like, “I can’t”, “It’s impossible”, or “That’ll never happen”: these are all statements of negative energy, which will simply attract the same and equivalent in terms of negative results. You want good stuff to appear? Well then, simply change the vibrational frequency you’re operating from and watch the magic happen! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
