Ladies!! This next chapter in your life could literally ‘change’ you forever!
A recent poll has found that while our energy levels may be at their highest in our 30s, as we approach the latter stages of life, we can expect to experience another surge of energy around the age of 55! Hallelujah!! There is hope for me, after all!!!!!!!
Going through the ‘change’, whilst proving to be a most challenging time for women, can actually be the time of unleashing one’s true potential! Well, that’s what I’m sticking to anyway, as it seems to be the only way of helping me get through the angst of it all!
For some reason, (something I’ve not quite figured out yet??), men seem to be able to father children well into their dotage, while women are left to (quite literally!) dry up by the time they hit their 50s!….an age when, what I’ve seen in the women I most admire, this was the age when they were only just at the beginning of their true life’s work! Just look at our marvellous Maggie Smith, the hysterical Julie Walters, dynamic Judi Dench, sexy Helen Mirren and the gorgeous Joanna Lumley, to name a few!
If our sole purpose is really just to reproduce and populate the planet, then why are women still around after the age of 50?!? A rhetorical question – please don’t answer it! We women now live on well into our 90s these days, so it makes no sense at all!?!
Whether we bring children into the world or not, I take my solace from knowing that the female of the species is a most formidable force! Take a look at any female in the animal kingdom and the fierce protection she offers her loved ones – no, you really don’t want to mess about with Mother Nature!
I am truly convinced that this force is a force to be reckoned with – I am, therefore, on a mission for the rest of my days to say to all you older girls out there: Behold, Ladies – our time is yet to come!!!
