All Saints’ Day, 1st November
As we leave the Halloween celebrations behind for yet another year, we see the 1st November arrive….and as I remember my dear father’s passing on this day, back in 1996, and my beloved cousin, Imran’s birthday (born on the very same day in 1983), I am, once again, in complete awe of how we’re all connected by something quite miraculously divine……..
The poem below is a dedication to both these very special people, and brings together both the magic and miracle of all things wonderful in life – happy birthday to you, Imran! …….and continue to rest in peace, my darling Abba………..
“You Never Will Be Old”
You never will be old
with a twinkle in your eye,
with the springtime in your heart
as you watch the winter fly.
You never will be old
while you have a smile to share,
while you wonder at mankind
and you have the time to care.
While there’s magic in your world
and a special dream to hold,
while you still can laugh at life,
you never will be old.
