- Get active – nothing makes you feel better than exercise – even a ten minute brisk walk can be enough to get the endorphins flowing.
- Get a hit of daylight – in the winter, we’re more likely to be going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark, so get out at lunchtime and consider topping up your vitamin D intake.
- Spend time with positive folk – energy is infectious and contagious, so spend time with people who make you laugh and who feel great about everything in life.
- Make a difference – research shows that voluntary work, or simply doing someone a good turn, enhances six aspects of our wellbeing: feeling of happiness, life satisfaction, our self-esteem, the sense of control we have over life, our physical health and overall mood.
